New York, January 26, 2016 — The Alberleen Group, an investment bank and merchant banking firm servicing middle market companies and family office investors, today announced an affiliation with Nelson Addison Advisors. Founder and CEO Marcia Nelson brings her expertise in relationship management and business development, as well as her extensive network of family offices and high-net-worth individuals, to Alberleen to help family offices access proprietary deal flow in a discreet and effective manner.
“We are pleased that Marcia Nelson has joined The Alberleen Group platform,” said Jolyne Caruso, CEO of The Alberleen Group. “Nelson Addison Advisors brings additional sources of capital and deal flow to complement our investment banking and merchant banking capabilities. Ms. Nelson will expand and strengthen our community of family office investors who value access to our firm’s proprietary direct investments. MSN will also organize educational and networking events to further develop our family office ecosystem.”
Ms. Nelson has a proven track record of working with family offices and their advisors. She formerly worked for an ultra-high-net-worth philanthropic family and subsequently managed business development and relationship management in the areas of estate planning, finance, and accounting, most recently at Anchin, Block & Anchin LLP. Over the last 20 years, Ms. Nelson has developed a large network of family offices and advisors who are increasingly seeking access to quality direct deal flow from trusted, experienced partners. Ms. Nelson is also the founder of Deals and Divas, an educational and networking organization that connects women entrepreneurs and investors.
“Alberleen was an obvious choice for me as a partner. The firm has an established platform that brings institutional credibility and expertise to the direct investing space. With Alberleen, I have an embedded resource of 35 investment bankers and an investment team that I can tap for industry intelligence, due diligence and advice, as well as quality proprietary deals. Finally,” said Ms. Nelson, “I can truly be the trusted advisor my clients expect me to be.”
